The aim of our research is to comprehensively evaluate pulmonary hemodynamics at rest and under stress, with a particular focus on right heart function. The focus is on the development and application of modern invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures. This should enable earlier detection of pulmonary hypertension and simplify and improve diagnostics overall. Another key aspect is the identification and validation of non-invasive surrogate parameters in order to reduce invasive examinations wherever possible. Particular attention is paid to the precise characterization of right heart function. In addition, AI-based models are to be used and developed to better analyze complex hemodynamic relationships, support diagnostic processes, and further optimize the early detection and risk stratification of pulmonary hypertension.
